Italian government delegation visits plant of Iveco Defence Vehicles in Sete Lagoas (MG)

On Wednesday 23rd of February, Iveco Defence Vehicles received the visit at the plant in Sete Lagoas (MG) of an Italian delegation led by Hon. Giorgio Mulé, Undersecretary of State for Defence, with Vice Admiral Dario Giacomin, Deputy Secretary General of Defence and Deputy NAD, Col. Antonio Felicissimo, Defence Attaché of the Italian Embassy in Brazil and Maurizio Fedeli, Italian Consul of Belo Horizonte.
The delegation visited the production line for the Guarani VBTP-MR 6x6 amphibious armored vehicle, the recently established production line for the LMV-BR VBMT-LR 4x4 as well as the plant’s proving ground where a dynamic demonstration of Guarani took place.
The company highlighted the importance of the visit, given the history of Iveco Defence Vehicles in Italy and its consolidated role as Brazil MoD’s partner since 2012. Iveco Defence Vehicles is highly committed in providing its worldwide customers with effective and integrated defense and security solutions including a life cycle support tailored with the specific requirements. Over the last decade, Iveco Defence Vehicles has already produced in Brazil and delivered more than 500 units of the Guarani armored vehicle and 32 units of the LMV-BR armored vehicle to the Brazilian Army, demonstrating its localization attitude through the involvement of Brazilian companies in the value chain.
